A relocation relocation relocation inspired offering from a compulsive and successful home buyer was in need of branding and a website. The essential site for relocation.

The company is in its infancy, but has great aspirations. Functioning as a consultancy for both individual clients, but also for larger companies dealing with relocating employees, both permanent and temporary. Helen will aim to get under the skin of the client to understand their specific needs and attempt to provide the perfect setting for their new lives within the Chew Valley.

The aim of the site was to more clearly communicate the company’s services, in a aesthetic which is fitting for an engineering specialist who deal with precision and complex, large scale build projects.

Fingerprints in Uganda

Finger prints in Uganda is a charity is in it’s infancy, it is still establishing itself, but has a clear focus on ‘caring by sharing for children in Uganda’ The website needed to provide enough flexibility in its structure to allow for growth and change over time.

The look and feel is energy and activity, it has a notice board sketched quality to the graphical elements to promote a sense of continued activity.

Build on a Wordpress CMS it provides full flexibility for the client to introduce new content through many of the sections of the site.

David Poore is a composer for film and television, his catalogue of work is impressive and the music, inspiring. I was honoured to be asked to redesign his online presence.

A full and comprehensive online strategy was needed, ensuring that all appropriate online channels were covered to represent David and highlight his work. Davidpoore.com functions as the hub for David’s online presence, feeding into his media, wiki and social networking channels.

The brief was simply to create an interface where the work was allowed to speak for itself without the need for cajolery or persuasion, using stylish typography, and a clean interface the site sits happily within the media world it caters for.

South West Tree Consultants

South West Tree Consultancy is a new business based in the Southern Cotswolds, providing advice, consultation and management of arboricultural matters concerning building development, ecological maintenance and environmental needs.

This is the first stage of their marketing strategy, with initial investment in brand creation, naming and simple online presence, to be developed more fully over time.

Sky HD World Cup Party

Sky wanted an independent online platform, to deliver a social media campaign that would enable their entire Sky+HD customers base to invite friends to a World Cup match party and experience the game in full Sky+HD quality. The campaign would also be motivated by lucrative incentives for both Sky customers and newly referred customers.

The campaign was launched just 6 weeks after initiating, targeted over 2 million HD customers via direct mail and broadcast email. The accessibility of the site has successfully targeted 97% of all browsers and email clients. The campaign to date has generated over 30,000 invitations and has significantly grown the clients lead generation marketing database as well as successfully extended the reach of the Sky brand experience to tie in with the 2010 World Cup.

Sky Switching tool

The project we undertook for Sky was to create a user friendly tool to aid prospective customers work out what involved in the switch over to a Sky provided media package. As part of the project there were many stages that we went to with Sky to come up with a final working product.

My input was through interaction design, graphical design, icon design and client liaising.

Holdfast Training

Holdfast Training provide education and support to the armed forces. Readying army personnel for the demands of action on the front-line, they offer support in wide variety of engineering disciplines, which provide the unique range of skills that are fundamental to the Military Engineer as well as delivering military working animals, handlers and maintainers.

Holdfast also provides training for other Arms and Services, Government Departments and several allied countries. The Military Engineer training provided enhances the Army’s operational capability enabling Royal Engineers to be deployed and succeed anywhere in the world.

Orange Out

The design and usability department at Orange came to us asking for a solution to 3rd party authentication using openid on the French Orange portal. We produced a staged process for users to go through with explanations throughout, this delivery was from user flows through to wireframes and on to the interaction and visual design.

As 3rd party sign in functionality is still new we felt is was appropriate to produce an movie which explained this concept fully. By using an animated character we were able to both ask and answer the fundamental questions of what is openid? why use it? and how to use it? We provided a detailed storyboard of these 3 scenarios with characters, voice over copy, and full illustrations ready for animating.

Parragon Publishing

My involvement in this was to conjure up the original concept.

Parragon are a global publishing house with an enormous library under their belt. The concept was to make the user feel like they were in virtual environment surrounded by books ranging all categories and markets.

The purpose of the site was more an experiential brand exercise, rather than for sales. Parragon continues to deal directly with book merchants and brand license holders.

Christians in Sport

Working with sports enthusiasts, from kids through to professionals, Christians in Sport needed a versatile and scalable online environment which allowed their members to use the site as a resource, not only for networking, but also for support, material and a sense of togetherness.

As a prominent recruitment agency in the South West, Moon Consulting understood the need for a coherent brand experience which flowed from their personal caring manner through to the professional service they offer. The result was a clean, approachable brand intending to stand apart from the aggressive recruitment agencies which give the profession a negative impression.

My involvement in the project was from initial client consultation, brand workshops, design and user interface of the website, creation of the stationery and a 20 page marketing brochure.

Orange Jordan Portal

For this project we were asked to sort out a confused Orange Jordan portal. Our job was to bring the portal in-line with the global Orange brand. Emmanuel Church

Starting a new church in a highly multi-cultural part of London contains a number of challenges. The leaders of this new church, called Emmanuel Church, asked for help addressing some of these challenges through their brand and website.

My involvement with this project was from initial client workshop, discussing strategy, values and visual impression. The conclusion was to create a simple site which allowed the church to edit and control the site as they grew.

The site was recognised as one of the top 10 church websites of the year by Christian aid: surefish

Dear Downing Street

Designed to open up lines of communication between the ‘putting the world to rights’ chats in the pub with your mates, to a broader audience and gaining attention from the government. This site is there for the everyman, a way of gauging public opinion and by allowing visitors of the site to vote on each comment the result should be the most significant issues are highlighted.

My involvement was from initial concept with fellow designer David Gillett, and through user interface design and simple visual design.

Sportsister

A magazine for sports women, Sportsister founders Danielle Sellwood and Louise Hudson came to Digerati Studio asking for advice on how to go about creating an online magazine.

My involvement commenced with this initial briefing then through a number of brand creation workshops. The site design then followed. It has since taken on an un-expected amount of advertising! However if you look closely there’s a glimmer of the simple news site which was once was there.

Manarva

A practice that gives expert advice in the field of finance. The brand, although new, aimed to reflect the company’s sense of assurance by producing a confident identity, which communicates an established professionalism. Having met up with David we had a real sense of the understated confidence he had in his abilities. The visual language of the Manarva brand employs the metaphorical characteristic of the ‘mighty oak’, symbolising steady established growth.

Rather than use the site as an opportunity for heavy marketing, David felt that the site should simply provide an online presence which validated the company’s ethos and professionalism.
